Soube-me a pato.

Decidimos ir até ao restaurante Da Dong, premiado e com fama de ter o melhor Roasted Duck de Pequim. Andámos durante cerca de 1h à procura do restaurante, mas valeu completamente a pena.

Depois de esperarmos precisamente 1h20, o Chefe trouxe-nos o pato, partiu-o à nossa frente e serviu-nos. Uma outra pessoa exemplificou-nos como se preparava, mostrou-nos como envolver e comer a pele tostada do pato em açucar (coisa que em circunstâncias comuns não faria certamente). Ofereceram-nos a canja com o caldo do pato e no fim ainda nos presentearam com um prato de fruta e com sorbet de melão.

Pagámos 11 euros. Se forem a Pequim, vão ao Da Dong.

We decided to go to the restaurant Da Dong, rewarded and with a reputation for having the best Roasted Duck in Beijing. We walked for about 1 hour looking for the restaurant, but it paid off completely.

After waiting exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes, the Chief brought us the duck, he sliced it in front of us and served us. Another person exemplified how it should be prepared , showed us how to involve and eat the roasted skin of the duck with sugar (which in ordinary circumstances I would certainly not do). We were offered the duck soup and in the end they still presented us with a plate of fruit and melon sorbet.

We paid 11 euros. If you go to Beijing, go to Da Dong.

Primeiro a Cidade Proibida, depois, porque entrámos pelo lado errado, voltámos de Riquechó para a Praça de Tian'an Men (3 pessoas num espaço onde cabiam apenas 2, num país onde ninguém conhece o conceito de condução defensiva, ou semáforos).

First, the Forbidden City, then, because we got into the wrong way, we got around in a Riquechó to Tian'an Men Square (3 persons in an space where only 2 fit in a country where nobody knows the concept of defensive driving or traffic lights).
