Macau

In Macao we started to discover the Real Senate Square, passing the ruins of Sao Paulo, explored all of downtown and ended at the A-ma Temple. When we reached the temple it was already closed, but the lake view was incredible.

At lunch, without knowing very well where to eat, we end up buying a kind of kebab with meat balls. The lady who served us has dropped the note that I paid with it into the water in which the "meatballs" boiled. And when I unintentionally dropped the plate of kebabs on the floor, she just gave me another ones, passing through the water the ones that had fallen and shove them into the hot water again ...
But so it is: what does not kill you, makes you stronger.

At night we still went to the Wynn Casino. We did not play, but we observed. To me it it is scaring to be in a place where rolls so much money and where rules are made from this ... I didn't like it.

At the time of returning home, we took a taxi to the ferry that would take us back to Hong Kong. The taxi driver drove us from the taxi extremely angry and without receiving the full payment ... I think we'll ever understand why.
(This was just one of the strangest experiences with taxi drivers in China.)

Noite feliz!

Yesterday's concert in Santiago Alquimista, Lisbon (a birthday present from cousin Pat) was very beautiful and intimist. Happy night!

Hong Kong #2

Difficult morning.

My body rebelled with the time change and made me throw up everything I ate and everything that I couldn't eat for a few hours. Then, as time passed, everything returned to normal.

We walked by the Center, and we went through Soho until we reached our first Chinese temple. A cloud of incense fills the room and drown us in a completely relaxed atmosphere. The energy is very good at Man Mo Temple.

Despite the bad weather, we decided to go to the Victoria Peak. We went to the Botanical Garden/ Zoo, ate fruit looking at a tree, talked with the apes, and went up the elevator to the peak, just to get there and actually get into a cloud, this time real. So real that we couldn't see anything else ...
The best view of the city will have to stay for another time.

Then we move to the Temple Street chaos and the night market in Kowloon, with the bonus of foot massage for 10 euros. (Completely unmissable).

When we left we ate a Rocky Bun, a sweet bread like the portuguese "Pão de Deus", still warm. Very good!

(In the subway we see many iPhones, iPads, Louis Vuitton, fake eyelashes and cute children but, as in Japan, this is considered an improper place to eat or drink, so we just try to do it in the streets.)

Hong kong #1

- frango desfiado com folha de feijão em molho de gergelim (sésamo) e amendoim;
- carne de porco desfiado em molho agridoce;
- frango crocante com molho de cebolinha verde.

(diferente, mas perfeitamente comestível.)

After 17 hours in airplanes and airports, we arrived at final destination. Hong Kong. China.

(Still at the airport, we entered the bathroom and had the first sign that we were in a "strange place": the ambient music was "Silent Night " as if it were Christmas again.)

With the time zone making our heads turning and 90% humidity making our body lazy, we didn't do much more than dragging ourselves from the room to the nearest restaurant.

This was the menu:
- shredded chicken with been sheet in sesame and peanut butter sauce;
- sauted shredded pork in sweet and sour souce;
- crispy chicken in scallion sauce.

(different, but perfectly edible.)
