Cada vez mais juntos no meu pensamento, o design e artesanato encontram-se também na vida real.

Ultimamente tenho encontrado muita informação sobre as nossas tradições portuguesas e sobre a necessidade de criar um género de acervo/ plataforma para tornar o conhecimento, tradições e materiais locais, cada vez mais conhecidas.

Já vos falei do blog Saber Fazer, assim como de muitas outras pessoas que estão a perservar estes talentos antigos falando sobre eles via internet ou construindo negócios cujo príncipio é também recuperar estas maravilhosas técnicas do passado.

Hoje apresento-vos Craftism: um blog que expõe pesquisas relacionadas com o artesanato tradicional e com a cultura do design vernacular.  A determinada altura li algo que me interessa bastante: "a oportunidade de fazer coisas bonitas, formas puras e simples, cores básicas e técnicas tradicionais que reflictam apenas isso: o estímulo da imaginação." More and more together in my mind, design and crafts are also finding each other in real life.

Lately I've found lots of information about our Portuguese traditions and the need to create a kind of collection/ platform to make the know-how, traditions and local materials, increasingly more familiar to everyone else.

I already wrote before about the portuguese blog Saber Fazer, as well as other persons who are preserving these old talents talking about them via Internet or building their business around the idea of recovering these wonderful techniques of the past.

Today I present you Craftism: a blog that exposes research related to traditional crafts and vernacular design culture. At one point I read something that interests me a lot: "the opportunity to make things beautiful, pure and simple shapes, basic colors and traditional techniques that only reflect this: the stimulation of imagination."
