Projecto TASA

Obrigada!

The TASA Project (in portuguese TASA designates Ancestry Techniques, Current Solutions) emerges as a way to rehabilitate the local culture and increase the value and potential of the traditional processes.

During one year, in order to develop the handicrafts in the Algarve working cooperatively with local producers and artisans, were developed about 20 products that currently can be purchased here.

I had a very difficult time to choose the images of the products I like best (if you can, take a peek on this and this, too). The project results are amazing and I can get tired of this dating/ marriage between design and crafts/ old techniques. I think this union can only be way of open doors to an enormous enrichment of both.

...

Francisco Eugénio, is one the artisans involved in the development of the product "three pots with lids". He says that as a child his play-station was the mud and I get inebriated while reading these amazing testimonies of people so involved and committed in the immense work of "keeping the traditions". It was very worth to read them and hear their stories of life. Thanks!
